Sky Fracture mod +1.21
Download Download
Sky Fracture mod introduces an entirely new dimension-like sky layer that generates far above the overworld. This massive expansion adds fresh survival mechanics, eight distinct aerial biomes, dozens of original mobs, several mini-bosses, a full end-game boss encounter, and a wide range of equipment designed for the progression stage between the Nether and the End.
Key Features
This addon functions as a large-scale content update and does not require experimental gameplay, ensuring full stability across supported versions. However, it is not compatible with the Vibrant Visuals resource pack.
The core feature of the mod is the Sky Layer, which begins at Y = 270. The air becomes too thin to breathe naturally, meaning you must equip an oxygen mask to survive. Conventional light sources such as torches and campfires extinguish in this altitude. At the same time, players gain permanent Slow Falling, allowing safe traversal across the floating islands.

Sky Biomes & Survival Challenges
The Sky Layer consists of eight new biomes, each offering unique resources, atmosphere, and dangers. Some areas provide valuable ores and peaceful scenery, while others are hazardous zones filled with aggressive mobs or survival hazards.
Examples of New Biomes
• Floating Clouds
A calm biome where players can find Aquamarine Ore—one of the most important materials for crafting advanced gear.
• Starlite Forest
A visually stunning biome filled with star-shaped trees and edible Starlite Fruit.
• Moon Fragments
A lunar-themed zone containing rare ores such as Luminite and Moonstone.
• Hurricane Airspace
A biome flooded with water and permanent rainfall, making navigation challenging and dangerous.
• Cryo Spikes
An icy region with towering cold formations and easy-to-access diamond and iron deposits.
Each biome introduces fresh opportunities for exploration and resource gathering, but surviving in the sky requires careful preparation, oxygen management, and mobility tools.

New Mobs & Boss Encounters
The Sky Layer is populated with many original creatures—both dangerous and neutral. Hostility varies depending on biome, equipment, and player actions.
Common Mobs
- Aero Slimes – fast airborne slimes that attack from above.
- Blizzards – ice-casting spirits capable of ranged attacks.
- Cyclords – floating explosive entities that trigger on close contact.
- Sky-Liners – piglin-like neutral mobs that remain passive if you wear Aquamarine Armor.
Mini-Bosses
Each biome may include special elite mobs, such as:
- Ringelite
- Solaronemon
Beating these enemies is crucial for gathering rare upgrade materials.
Final Boss: Astrageldon
The ultimate challenge of Sky Fracture is the aerial boss Astrageldon. Players can summon it by tossing a Star Communicator into the sky.
The fight consists of multiple phases, powerful ranged attacks, aerial maneuvers, and unique combat mechanics. Defeating Astrageldon rewards a rare smithing pattern needed to forge the highest-tier equipment in the addon.

New Gear, Weapons & Tools
Sky Fracture adds a vast selection of advanced weapons, armor sets, and utility items.
New Weapon Types
- Dual-blade swords capable of striking enemies behind the player at slightly reduced damage.
- Enhanced crossbows that use special elemental bolts.
New Armor Tiers
Several new armor and tool sets surpass Diamond and even Netherite, including:
- Aquamarine
- Meteoric
- Starlite
- Lunar
- Solar
- Luminite
- Comet
These sets require custom smithing templates, which can be found or crafted during mid-to-late game progression.
Utility Items
- Storm Pearl – summons lightning on impact.
- Cryo Staff – creates temporary ice bridges.
- Bottomless Water Bucket – an infinite source of water.
- Many more items designed to support survival above the overworld.
