Java’s Dynamic Lighting mod

Java’s Dynamic Lighting is a mod for Minecraft PE (Bedrock) that brings a realistic lighting system similar to Java Edition with Optifine. Torches, lamps, and even burning mobs now emit light in real-time, making it perfect for exploring dark caves and adventuring at night.
Features:
This mod allows light-emitting items such as torches and lamps to cast light while held in hand. You can also craft a special miner’s helmet with an attached light source. New effects have been added — even mobs on fire will illuminate the area around them. The light is generated using a temporary block that disappears when the item is no longer held.

Lighting Mechanics and Item Behavior:
As soon as you hold a glowing item, a light block automatically appears near you. When you switch items, it disappears. The system is intuitive — simply hold the right item to light your path in the dark. The mod also supports double sneaking to quickly switch items to the off-hand slot.

Compatibility and Performance:
Java’s Dynamic Lighting works without experimental features and is compatible with other addons since it does not use player.json. A recent update improved performance by fixing issues with lingering light blocks and added the ability to attach a torch to your helmet. For best results, it’s recommended to use this mod on devices with stable performance to ensure smooth gameplay in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).
