Thirsty and Temperature addon 1.21+
Download DownloadAdapt your survival experience to real-world conditions with the Thirsty and Temperature addon for Minecraft PE. This addon requires you to monitor your temperature, ensuring it doesn’t get too high or low, and constantly manage your thirst to stay alive and mobile.
- Features of the Thirsty and Temperature Addon:
Experience a more realistic survival mode in MCPE with new indicators for temperature and thirst, which you must keep an eye on constantly. Special items are now available for crafting to help you manage these new parameters.
- How Temperature Works:
Temperature control in this Minecraft PE (Bedrock) mod includes several indicators to inform you about your condition—whether it’s normal, worsening, or reaching dangerous levels that could be life-threatening.
- Temperature Status:
There are five temperature indicators you’ll see when playing with this mod:
- Normal: A standard, comfortable temperature that doesn’t cause negative effects and is safe.
- Hot: A relatively high temperature that causes the player to experience nausea.
- Extreme Heat: Critically dangerous high temperature for the player’s life—various negative effects occur, the screen darkens, and you begin to die.
- Cold: A low temperature that slows down your walking speed.
- Extreme Cold: A life-threateningly low temperature that significantly slows you down, darkens the screen, and causes you to start dying from negative effects.
- Raising and Lowering Temperature:
You can manage your temperature with simple methods—stand near a campfire to warm up or near a soul campfire to cool down. Alternatively, you can craft special hot and cold blocks:
When placed and activated in the world, these blocks will either increase or decrease your temperature (depending on the block type).
- How Thirst Works:
Thirst is an additional survival challenge introduced by this MCPE (Bedrock) mod. It functions similarly to hunger—when it depletes, you’ll gradually lose hearts and eventually die from dehydration.
- Replenishing Water Levels:
To drink and restore your character’s water levels, you can drink directly from a river, though this will cause poisoning. Alternatively, you can boil water in bottles over a campfire to safely drink it.
- Water Flask:
For more efficient water storage, craft and use a water flask, which allows you to drink up to 8 times:
To fill the flask, hold it, crouch, and step into a water block. Then, place it over a campfire to purify the water for safe drinking.
