How to Find and Tame the Nautilus

Nautiluses spawn naturally in groups of one or two across all types of oceans. To catch their attention, use any fish as bait, but taming requires a pufferfish or a bucket of pufferfish. Once tamed, you can place a saddle on your new underwater friend and start your deep-sea adventure.

Breeding and Riding

Tamed Nautiluses can be bred with any type of fish. Riding your Nautilus gives you access to its full speed and mobility underwater, along with the breathing and mining buff, making underwater exploration far safer and faster.

It spawns under the same conditions as Drowned mobs, with a 20% chance, making ocean exploration more dangerous — and rewarding — than ever before.
