Minecraft PE (Bedrock) 26.50.25 Beta & Preview is a testing release focused primarily on polishing the content introduced in the third 2026 game drop. Instead of adding another large set of new mechanics, this build concentrates on bug fixes, stability, interface improvements, and final adjustments to features such as Abandoned Camps, Straw Beds, and Cushions.
Abandoned Camp Improvements
The update continues refining the recently introduced Abandoned Camp structures. Seagrass generated inside camps is now correctly waterlogged, fixing visual and block-state inconsistencies in aquatic camp variants. Duplicate Cushion entries have also been removed from two campsite structures, preventing unnecessary repetition in their generation.
These changes make abandoned locations feel more consistent across different biomes while preserving their role as exploration points in the Overworld.
Mob Fixes
Several problems affecting mobs have been corrected in version 26.50.25. Chains no longer incorrectly prevent mobs from spawning in the space beneath them, improving mob spawning behavior around structures and decorative builds.
The update also fixes an unusual interaction involving cows and lava buckets. Zombies and Husks now properly retain their held and equipped items when transforming into other undead variants, making equipment behavior more consistent during transformations.
Sound and Audio Changes
Audio behavior receives several small but important corrections. Red Shrubs now use the appropriate sound, while the Straw Bed displays the correct subtitle when used.
Cushions also receive improved subtitle behavior: the “Cushion breaks” caption is now shown only when the cushion is actually destroyed.
Jukebox behavior has been refined as well. Multiple jukeboxes can now play the same music record independently, and broadcast sounds are positioned more accurately for players who enter the relevant area after playback has already started.
Stability and Performance
One of the more important fixes addresses a crash that could occur when flying over or through bodies of water containing nearby entities. This is particularly useful for players exploring large worlds in Creative mode or traveling quickly with flying abilities.
The developers have also reduced work performed on the main thread during world loading by removing redundant pre-caching of the World Settings screen. This change helps streamline the loading process and can contribute to a smoother startup experience.
User Interface Improvements
The interface has received several refinements across different platforms. PlayStation now correctly respects the GUI Scale modifier when launching the game. The “Leave Boat” button has also received a visual update for the D-Pad and tap-to-interact control scheme.
Preview and Beta builds no longer display achievement warnings, while Realms Plus users opening Marketplace Pass from the Marketplace sidebar are taken directly to the list of available packs.
Inventory controls have also been improved, particularly when switching between touch and mouse input. Additional fixes address gamepad button swapping for emotes and the rendering order of block items held on the cursor.
World Import and Compatibility Fixes
The release also resolves an issue involving old worlds imported from PS4 Preview to PS5 Preview, where duplicate toast notifications could appear during the import process. This makes transferring older worlds between supported PlayStation Preview environments more reliable.
Beta & Preview Availability
As a work-in-progress version, Minecraft 26.50.25 may contain bugs and is not guaranteed to represent the final quality of the upcoming stable release. Minecraft Preview is available on Xbox, PlayStation, Windows, and iOS, while the Beta program is available through Google Play on Android.
Players who test this version should consider making backups of important worlds before opening them in the Beta or Preview environment.
Summary
Minecraft PE 26.50.25 is a refinement-focused Beta and Preview release. It improves Abandoned Camps, Straw Beds, Cushions, mob behavior, sounds, world loading, multiplayer-related systems, and the user interface, while also addressing several crashes and technical problems.
Rather than introducing a major new feature, this build works on making the existing 2026 Drop 3 content more stable and consistent before the final release.
