Wolf Expansion Mod 1.21+
Download DownloadThe Wolf Expansion Mod completely transforms wolves in Minecraft PE, making them more diverse, interactive, and useful than ever before. Instead of being simple companions, wolves now come in six different sizes, divided into three unique classes, each with its own look, behavior, and special abilities. From playful tiny pups to massive rideable Alpha wolves, this addon adds a whole new layer of depth to taming and raising your furry allies.
Key Features
- Introduces six wolf sizes, grouped into three distinct classes.
- Adds a breeding system that allows players to gradually breed stronger and larger wolves.
- Implements a command system that lets you control wolves using chat commands or in-game gestures.
- No experimental features required — works directly in Minecraft PE (Bedrock).
Wolf Classes and Sizes
Wolves are now classified into three main groups, easily recognizable by their collars:
- Playful (Sizes 1–2): Small companions with regular collars. They can perform fun tricks like lying down or rolling over.
- Helpful (Sizes 3–4): Medium-sized wolves wearing bandanas. They provide supportive abilities to help players on their journey.
- Protective (Sizes 5–6): The largest wolves, equipped with spiked collars. Size 6 represents the Alpha Wolf, the strongest and most impressive of them all.
Breeding System
The breeding mechanic is one of the core features of this mod. The size of a pup is determined by the average size of its parents. For example, breeding a wolf of size 1.0 with one of size 1.4 may result in a pup around size 1.2. Rarely, offspring may be born slightly larger or smaller, allowing gradual progression toward massive Alpha wolves.
All wolf variants — including the Alpha — can also be encountered in the wild, though the chances are extremely low.
The Alpha Wolf
The Alpha Wolf (Size 6) is the crown jewel of wolf breeding. When one spawns, its arrival is marked by a unique howl that can be heard from a distance. Unlike regular wolves, Alphas never despawn.
- Rideable mount: Once tamed, players can ride their Alpha Wolf as a fast and loyal mount. Only the rightful owner can ride it — anyone else will be thrown off.
- Wild behavior: Wild Alphas are hostile toward each other, making encounters dramatic and dangerous.
Commands and Interactions
Players can issue six distinct commands to their wolves:
- Stand
- Sit
- Lie down
- Roll left
- Roll right
- Come here
Commands can be given in two ways:
- Gestures — for example, crouching quickly three times to call your wolf.
- Chat commands — typing commands like !sit or !come.
At night, Alpha wolves may begin howling, and nearby wolves will respond with their own howls. The pitch of the howl varies depending on the wolf’s size, creating a realistic and atmospheric experience.
