The Explorer’s World Map mod introduces an advanced world-mapping system with a stylish 3D map effect and a fully configurable minimap. This addon is designed for players who love exploration and want a clear overview of their world without constantly relying on coordinates or external tools.

Key Features and Limitations

To function correctly, this addon requires the Beta API experimental feature to be enabled. Because of this, Xbox Live achievements are disabled in worlds where the mod is active.
The mod may also conflict with other addons that heavily modify the user interface.

The map focuses strictly on terrain and biome visualization. Buildings, structures, and content added by other mods will not appear on the map, keeping it clean and performance-friendly.

Map Controls and Commands

The mod is controlled entirely through in-game commands:

• /map — opens the full-screen world map
• /minimap — toggles the minimap on or off
• /config — accesses global map settings
• /settings — opens personal customization options

When using the full-screen map, movement keys and jumping allow you to navigate across the displayed area smoothly.

Exploration Mechanics and Customization

A core mechanic of Explorer’s World Map is progressive exploration. Unvisited areas remain hidden until you physically travel through them, encouraging natural world discovery instead of instant map reveals.

The default map size is 6912 × 2688 blocks, providing a large overview of the world. However, players can adjust the map size via commands to improve performance on weaker devices or tailor the experience to their playstyle.
